balance–A state of equilibrium; equality in amount, weight, value, or importance, as between two things or the parts of a thing
***
I’ve always been a little uncomfortable at the idea of trying to strike a balance in life. I mean, if I’m a full time mom, it’s hard to do anything else full time. And how can I spend “equal” amount of time on myself? I can’t.
But hey, that’s ok.
I really just need some time for things that refresh and rejuvenate my spirit…
Relaxing and watching a movie: once a week
Reading: several times a week
Writing: at least a little everyday
Drinking coffee and hanging out with girlfriends: once a week
Taking a walk outside: whenever the weather allows
Laughing with my husband: as often as possible

Drinking coffee and hanging out with girlfriends – that’s a good one. Does talking on the phone count? Sometimes it has to for me. I have one friend who lives in another state. Sometimes we make a date to ‘have a drink together’. We both pour a glass of wine and pick up the phone!
Sure it does! I’m generally not much of a phone talker, but there are a couple of friends (also in another state) I keep up with that way. Never thought about making a “date” for it. What a great idea!
