Two recent articles piqued my interest this week.

A Baby Delivered Twice

Have you heard about the McCartney baby? Doctors partially removed her from her mother’s uterus and performed surgery to remove a tumor. Then, they put her back inside where she stayed until she came back out at eight months of pregnancy.

A Child Born After Mother’s Death

This story is heartbreaking, but it’s wonderful that the baby-just 2 lbs- survived after the mother died.

My prayers go out to both of these families: health for Macie McCartney, continued survival for baby Aya Jayne, and healing for the loss of a wife and mother.

Both stories are powerful portrayals of  life inside the womb.

Psalm 139: 13a For you created my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. (NIV)
