This weekend, with the Pilot in flight, the boys and I will be hanging out, playing a bit, and working the yard. Practicing those skills already, we are (see below).

Recent reads I loved, saved, and will read again:

I’m all about the importance of all kinds of skills (grit is my favorite). I hope to help my children develop these: Non Academic Skills are Key to Success

And…while we’re on the subject of grit.

I found this article about worry intriguing, to say the least. I’m a worrier. The Evolution of Anxiety: Why We Worry and What to Do About It

This one’s for my boys: LEGO Pulleys STEM Building Challenge

This one’s for the parents (and for lots of laughs): Games to Play With Your Child in Which You Barely Have to Move or Talk. Because of those moments when You’re. Just. Done.

#3 and #5, #3 and #5, #3 and #5 on parenting a strong-willed child.

My mind is on summer already. I love the unstructured days, (with plenty of structured moments tucked in here and there). Lots of things on this list of free summer activities to spur creativity.

Happy weekend,
